The association “Les Amis de Lacassagne” is organizing a charity concert on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 8 pm at the Thรฉรขtre de la Photographie et de lโImage, featuring Concert Pianist Christophe ALVAREZ. The program will offer an eclectic selection of works from the repertoires of illustrious composers such as CHOPIN, DEBUSSY, de FALLA, LISZT, LISZT-WAGNER, MOZART, and RAVEL.
Christophe ALVAREZ, romantic to the core, dominates the keyboard with class, virtuosity, and poetry, revisiting the nuances intended by the composers with finesse, elegance, audacity, passion, and sensitivity.
A young and talented pianist, Christophe ALVAREZ, an adopted Azurian, began his musical journey with the violin. At the age of seven, he tried his hand at the piano and joined the Conservatoire de Nice three years later, soon earning his first awards.
Driven by an insatiable passion, he built his musical knowledge at the Sorbonne and then at the รcole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot in Paris, amassing a collection of highly coveted diplomas.
He is already exploring orchestration both in composition and conducting of orchestral pieces, songs, as well as music for theater, cinema, and advertising. He also participates in directing with the ensemble “Point du Jour,” created for the occasion to explore French music from the 17th century.
