In connection with its new exhibition dedicated to sharks, the Oceanographic Museum invited the Monegasque artistic association MC NUANCES to express themselves on the fascinating theme of the lords of the seas. This invitation was enthusiastically received by these art lovers. In total, around forty works will be displayed in the Conference Room from June 29 to July 21, 2013.
The CROCโART exhibition brings together about thirty amateur painters from the Association, particularly drawn to the “oil medium,” wishing to share their passion. They all have previously had the pleasure of presenting other pictorial works in Monaco, notably at the Yacht Club, in the Canton Room, and the Exotic Garden.
Playing with their Mediterranean and colorful palettes, the featured artists offer us their own vision of the shark in different and sophisticated styles…
This exhibition marks the second collaboration between the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and MC Nuances. Last year, the Monegasque association presented a series of works dedicated to cephalopods with the exhibition “Octopus & Co.”
The Monegasque Association MC NUANCES is composed of a group of former students from the Public Workshops organized by the Monaco City Hall at the Higher School of Plastic Arts.
Its members have learned drawing, painting, and perspective over several years. Having become inseparable, they wanted to come together to further their understanding of colors, exchange ideas, and continue creating together.
