For the 3rd year in Nice, from July 8 to August 30, every day of the week on Lenval beach, the City of Nice, in collaboration with the Cรดte d’Azur Regional Swimming Committee, offers swimming lessons.
The purpose of an operation like “know how to swim” is to provide children with the essential skills so they can engage in aquatic activities safely. The “Know how to swim” operation is not only about access to aquatic leisure; above all, it is a matter of individual and collective safety.
With the growing development of outdoor physical sports (36 million practitioners in France) and more than 36% of the population claiming to engage in an aquatic activity during the summer, drowning prevention has become an imperative that no community can ignore.
