He was the designer of Nice Premiรจre, now known as Nice Premium, and he is currently in charge of the NTIC mission within the Nice Cรดte dโ€™Azur Metropolis. However, you won’t find Franck Viano behind a keyboard and screen next week, but rather with kitchen utensils and an apron in the show “Un dรฎner presque parfait” aired on M6, which was filmed a few weeks ago in Nice and on the Cรดte dโ€™Azur.

diner_np.jpg The show’s principle is simple: five candidates, representing as many guests as hosts, gather around an aperitif and a meal within a theme of their choice, complemented by an entertainment to kick off the evening. Thus, five candidates from the Cรดte dโ€™Azur will compete daily starting at 5:45 PM from Monday, June 25th to Friday, June 29th, the date of the last show where the winner of the Nice episode will be revealed. It is already known that a well-known TV personality, Evelyne Leclercq, who symbolizes the show “Tournez manรจge” and “Les Grosses tรชtes,” also participated in this show.

“It was really a beautiful experience and delightful discoveries both in terms of candidates by meeting Evelyne and the entire filming crew who are just fantastic! I’m eager to see how it turns out because we haven’t seen any of the editing, so it will be a surprise for all the candidates too,” says Franck, who will certainly be in front of his TV at 5:45 PM sharp on Monday. “It’s crazy because it’s a show that’s often watched, as I’ve noticed from reactions within my circle of friends and colleagues. I didn’t necessarily follow it, but since my participation, I find myself watching it from time to time.”

The show was filmed a few weeks ago and it is quite a challenge for all the candidates: “It’s quite exhausting because we string together a dinner each evening, and dinner doesn’t just mean the meal, as there are all the interviews (the famous scenes in the rooms or bathrooms), scoring in the taxi, and waiting for the other candidates to take their turn. In short, we are never in bed before 2 AM. I advise future candidates to take a week off during filming because it’s really intense!”

No, nothing, we won’t know anything about the final result: “Of course I won’t say anything, as it would take all the fun out of the week. What I can say, however, is that there are some really must-see moments because during this kind of show, you realize how different we can be while sharing a common passion: Cooking.”

Speaking of cooking: “I took great pleasure in imagining both my aperitif and dinner. I think I can say that it completely resembles me and that I put my heart and soul into it. Cooking is a part of me, like my life, and not a day goes by, or very rarely, without me cooking. For my family, for my friends, in the evenings when I come home, during vacations… All occasions are good for me to be behind the stove, and I must admit that I love it. Cooking is, for me, my grandmother, my brother and my best friend who are chefs, and an actual desire to have fun while trying to make the best out of the ingredients I have on hand. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s not, but I always have the desire to go back and explore new horizons.”

The desire to win: “I don’t know if you participate in this kind of show to win, even though you don’t go to lose either. But, in the end, I found what I went there to find: good moments with good people in very good evenings. I would say that there are no losers in this type of experience.”

So tune in starting this Monday at 5:45 PM on M6 for a Nice edition of “Un dรฎner presque parfait,” which is likely to be redolent of the Cรดte d’Azur, and good luck to Franck, who will no doubt carry the flags of Nice Premium and Nice high!
