A renowned prize, awarded annually to exemplary Francophone businesses
The Economic Francophonie Prize, created in 2000 by the FFA* and recognized by the international business community, annually rewards the exemplary initiatives of dynamic Francophone businesses, defending the common values of the Francophonie.
These are distinguished for remarkable innovations or successes in management or administration. The rewarded companies, selected from the countries of the Francophone economic community, must also use French as the working language and adhere to the principles set out by the Ethical Charter of Francophone Businesses, designed jointly by the OIF and the FFA.
A commission, formed of independent Francophone personalities, is responsible for awarding this prize and it is the task of a different Francophone country each year to organize the prize-giving ceremony.
The Economic Francophonie Prize has already been awarded, for example, in France by President Jacques Chirac, in Morocco by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, or in Prague, by Czech Prime Minister Jiri Paroubek, to mention just a few of the latest ceremonies.
For Christian Estrosi: “This prestigious prize celebrates the dynamism and exemplarity of Francophone businesses. Celebrating the Francophonie also means congratulating and encouraging the economic initiatives of Francophone countries.”
Mr. Stรจve Gentili, International President of the Francophone Business Forum (FFA), wanted to add: “The FFA facilitates the development of relations and exchanges between public and private economic actors. It contributes to strengthening the values of the Francophonie charter, by promoting the rapprochement of businesses, federating professions, and consolidating an ethical and economic approach.”.
