For its third edition, the festival had the theme: “The dialogue that builds fraternity, the foundation of peace.” This festival aims to be without curtains, without backstage, showcases, or screens that might hinder the encounter of people in truth and sincerity within the framework of inter-religious dialogue.

A journey for peace took place this Sunday, September 29, at the rose garden, Port Canto, and then along the Croisette, up to the Allรฉes de la Libertรฉ.

The “FVEAC” association* and the participants wanted to demonstrate an authentic dialogue between people and cultures, spiritual riches, and shared values, in friendship and respect for each person’s identity, without mixtures or syncretism.

The recent festivals and all the surrounding events: meetings, sharing groups, radio programs, etc., have shown that Living Together in Cannesโ€”and why not elsewhere?โ€”is not a utopia!

A true dynamic approach of mutual knowledge and mutual enrichment within communities, to which many religious figures contributed: Father Abbot of Lรฉrins Vladimir Gaudrat, Rabbi David Moyal, the Rector of the Cannes Mosque Mustapha Dali, the priest of the city of Cannes Mgr Jean Gautheron, TreHor Lama, Spiritual Director of the Karmapa Institute Buddhist Center of Valderoure, the Sheikh Bentounes of the Alawiya Sufi Brotherhood, Protestant and Anglican pastors from Cannes Paolo Morlacchetti, Pierre Lacoste, and Gilles Williams.

Songs and music accompanied the entire afternoon in a spirit of openness and fraternity.

The artists were present only in a friendly capacity and motivated by a shared ideal: to build and promote living together as a privileged path toward Peace in solidarity with all participants.
