The new Master Media Manager program will kick off on Tuesday, September 4th, at IPAG Nice. The students will embark on a two-year curriculum designed to introduce them to the world of media, along with management and marketing strategies. The last educational meeting with all the speakers took place yesterday, and many projects are already underway.
With Sรฉbastien Mansour (Direct Matin) and Franรงois-Xavier Ciais (Art Cรดte dโAzur, Petites Affiches des Alpes-Maritimes, Arts Guideโฆ) representing the print media sector, Angรฉlique Alasta (Radio Sensations, Radio Saint Jean Cap Ferratโฆ) steering radio operations, Vincent Marty (Nice Premium, Marseille Premium..) covering online information and community management, and Renato Ferrari (Nice Premium and ISPI) for geopolitics and geostrategy, the team boasts a strong line-up under the leadership of their educational coordinator, Franck Viano (Project Manager at the Nice Cรดte dโAzur Metropolis, in charge of ITCs).
Several projects are already “in the pipeline,” including the creation of Radio IPAG, which will be a central theme for the first semester and will introduce a new web radio to the broadcasting landscape. Scheduled content includes daily news, cultural and sports shows, and political panels based on electoral news. “We aim for our students to quickly engage in working with a real media source, and what better way than launching our own radio station. Additionally, our Master Marketing students will have a practical case study to work on throughout the year with the promotion and commercialization of this new platform.” Philippe Dorey, Director of IPAG Nice, welcomes the creation of this new program as a revitalizing element for his business school in Nice.
The second semester will focus on video and television with the launch of IPAG TV, a generalist web TV offering programs with individuals, figures, and personalities making news in the Cรดte dโAzur. The project is ambitious, starting from scratch, requiring everything to be conceptualized by the MMM team and its students: “The real value for students will be getting a comprehensive view of the creation, management, promotion, and marketing aspects of a media organization. Working with real media was central to developing our program.” The Director of IPAG expresses full satisfaction, adding, “Moreover, all our lecturers lead or are responsible for local media, and students will regularly experience real-world situations by participating in radio shows on Radio Sensations, attending press conferences, or even being published in Nice Premium, Art Cรดte dโAzur, and Petites Affiches des Alpes-Maritimes. It’s a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase their work to a wider audience quickly.”
The MMM team is all set, following a few vacation days, for a studious summer to refine this upcoming two-year program and the two projects alongside the creation of the aforementioned new media. “We have been working together for years and have many projects in common. We know the task will be demanding, but the projects are exhilarating, and we hope our students will enjoy them as much we enjoyed preparing what will be their next two years.”
Mark your calendars for September 4th for a start that is sure to make waves in the local media landscapeโฆ
