The 2013 vintage is ready to be tasted by an increasingly large and loyal audience, whose origin makes this festival a little gem with popularity that goes beyond the strictly local setting. But a festival involves intense preparation work, with the programming time being just the tip of the iceberg.
It is worth highlighting and thereby giving credit to the team of volunteers surrounding Catherine Fafin, the president of the Cinéactions association, who has the honor of opening the festival: “We are on the eve of the start of Cinéalma 2013. We hope to see many of you there with your usual curiosity and to exchange around the themes and this art that is dear to us.”
From October 11 to 20, Cinéalma will screen 31 films, 13 of which are premieres and 6 are first screenings from 14 countries. True to its mission, the 8th edition of the festival presents a selection of films from different countries around the Mediterranean basin, with this year putting a spotlight on Italy.
Following her appearance in 2009, Fanny Ardant returns to Carros for the great delight of cinema enthusiasts from the French Riviera. She will present her second film, “Cadences obstinées,” in a premiere screening.
As every year, Cinéalma does not forget the social aspect, and this year, it is the turn of the Nomade association, which helps children with leprosy in India.
Finally, this evening the stage curtain will rise and we have no doubt that the audience will be present for the first of the evenings that will captivate lovers of the 7th art!
