While awaiting the ongoing negotiation process with Olympique Lyonnais regarding the exchange between Monzon and the two promising talents from the Rhone club, Grenier and Pied, the Azur club is starting to make moves after a rather laborious start to the championship.
Having been on trial all last week in Nice, the 25-year-old Dutch attacking midfielder, Luigi Bruins, who is a free agent, will most likely be incorporated into the red-and-black club’s squad.
“We are in discussions with him and are exploring the possibility of him joining the club,” stated Nice coach Claude Puel this Monday afternoon.
A former Dutch Under-21 international, Bruins has played for Excelsior Rotterdam, Feyenoord Rotterdam, and Red Bull Salzburg.
