The ranking by Le Point places the CHU of Nice among the top public health establishments. A great recognition for the quality of work by all of its medical teams, healthcare staff, and management.
Ranked 10th in the reliable and serious ranking by Le Point, the CHU of Nice remains among the top 50 hospitals in France out of 600. Moreover, it climbed 2 places compared to 2011 and continues to hold the 1st place among university hospitals for shoulder surgery. The ranking is based on the analysis of 63 medical and surgical specialties.
The method relies on a questionnaire filled out by the establishments (nearly a hundred questions), data from the medical information systems program (PMSI), as well as other sources such as directories of scientific societies and the 2010 activity report on procurement and transplantation by the Biomedicine Agency (ABM).
Most of the questions focus on the material and human resources available in these structures, which ensure a higher or lower level of safety and quality of care.
