From November 8 to 11, Explorimages, for its 18th edition, will present extraordinary adventures, both sporting, human, and scientific, at the heart of nature: 3 days and 3 nights of screenings (25 documentary films in competition), photographic exhibitions, and exciting encounters in an exceptional setting: the large tropical greenhouse.
The event aims to promote photography as well as all audiovisual productions and all actions that value the spirit of adventure and self-surpassing, exploration and discovery of our planet, preservation of nature and the environment, sustainable development, ecotourism, and the discovery of cultures and civilizations.
An essential gathering for lovers of beautiful images, vast wild landscapes, and fascinating human adventures, the EXPLORIMAGES festival presents about thirty documentary films in competition each year from among a hundred registered titles. Both professionals and amateurs are welcome. They compete in their respective categories.
In parallel with the screenings, various activities of a sporting, cultural, technical, or scientific nature are organized: conferences/debates, travel forums, photographic exhibitions, photo/video workshops, shows, mini associative and commercial fair.
The EXPLORIMAGES festival is thus a place for encounters, reflection, and dialogue between specialists and the general public, a platform offered to filmmakers, photographers, scientists, adventurers, journalists, writers, associations, and diverse organizations acting in the following fields: Nature protection, sustainable development, humanitarian actions, ecotourism.
