From Monday, September 10 to Friday, September 14, 2012, the Interregional Directorate of PACA-Corse Prison Services and the Regional Olympic and Sports Committee of the Côte d’Azur are organizing the 1st edition of the PACA 2012 Prison Games.
These Games will allow inmates from the region’s prison establishments and the various accompanying personnel (from the Prison Administration, National Education, Health, PJJ, and Judicial Services) to participate in various sports competitions: cycling race, half marathon, athletics, boxing, table tennis, volleyball, basketball, and football.
In line with the missions of the prison integration and probation service (SPIP), the Prison Games will essentially aim to convey values such as self-respect, respect for others and rules, confidence, and self-improvement through effort.

The opening ceremony will take place at the Fréjus nature base on Monday, September 10 at 9:45 a.m. in the presence of the Director of the Prison Administration, Mr. Henri Masse.
This project is supported by the Regional Council PACA, the Regional Directorate of Youth, Sports, and Social Cohesion PACA, the town hall of Fréjus, the CREPS of Boulouris, and the SFR foundation.
The events will be held at the sports facilities of the city of Fréjus and the CREPS of Boulouris.
