Saturday, September 15: Basilica of Saint-Michel
A speaker takes you on a journey from the ancient fortification to the first necropolis, exploring the unknown and underground rooms of the basilica. He then accompanies you via a hidden staircase from the sanctuary to the famous Campanin.
Fontana Rosa Garden (from 3 PM to 6 PM)
The visit offers a journey into the life and works of one of the most-read novelists of the early 20th century: Vicente Blasco Ibañez. His republican commitment, his literature, and his passion for cinema are highlighted in a path adorned with colorful glazed ceramics.
At 5 PM, Magali Lesueur Company presents the dance show *Addict*, a choreographic performance for four dancers lasting one hour. Immersed in a “Post Mortem” illusion, phantom characters project themselves into the past of their deepest addictions. Individual or particular stories unfold, ranging from the most carefree to the most tragic.
Musical Animation – Galerie du Palais de l’Europe (Saturday, September 15 from 2 PM to 4 PM)
Jean-Marc Patriti and his accordion revive for you the festive atmosphere of the Menton “Campagnata”. Sing along with him to the popular post-war songs and rediscover the exhibition “Passez à table! Menton 1860-1936″.
Municipal Archives (Saturday, September 15 from 2 PM to 5 PM – Sunday, September 16 from 9 AM to 12 PM)
Discover the Municipal Archives and the usually closed reserves to the public, guided by the head of the archives. Appreciate the preservation conditions, the organization of the collections, and the archivists’ missions.
Saturday, September 15 from 2 PM to 4 PM: Children’s Workshop / Introduction to Calligraphy
Like the illuminators, children create a personalized historical bookmark while parents discover the treasures of the Municipal Archives.

Small groups eager to discover one of Menton’s iconic monuments can admire the works of great artists associated with our city before concluding the tour with a visit to the first magistrate’s office.
Monastery of the Annonciade
On the hill of Annonciade stands a monastery that has been there for centuries. Admire the altarpiece marking the history of Menton and the ex-votos, true testimonies of the hopes and beliefs of the people of Menton.
From 5 PM to 6 PM: Concert under the cypresses of the monastery by Compagnie Picatrix / Federico Marincola, singing and guitar-lyra, Martine Marincola, Narrator / Roman songs from 1750 to 1936.
Compagnie Picatrix takes you on a journey, from Cimarosa to Rossini, from the tarantella to the Saltarella, from serenades to satirical songs, to discover music closest to the melody and dialect of the Roman people.
Municipal Library

This Belgian artist discovered Menton in 1949. Captivated by the Menton landscapes, he captures with precision and the attention to detail of a Flemish painter, the alleys of the medieval city. Drawings with graphite and India ink.
