This Wednesday, November 20th starting at 7:30 PM, at the Halle des sports Charles Ehrmann in Nice, as part of the 12th Arbitration Days organized by La Poste in cooperation with the Federations and Professional Leagues of Football, Rugby, Handball, and Basketball, a ceremony for the official referee jersey presentation will take place during the halftime of the French women’s handball championship match between OGC Nice and Nantes, in partnership with the CROS Cรดte d’Azur and OGC Nice.

For 12 years, the Arbitration Days (JNA) have aimed to raise awareness among sports actors and the general public about the importance of the referee’s role and to help inspire new vocations.
Through various initiatives, La Poste and the institutions of Football, Rugby, Handball, and Basketball mobilize the entire sports community, both amateur and professional, to support the cause of arbitration.
Prestigious sponsors: Four athletes, whose behavior and careers have been exemplary in many ways, support arbitration.
Valรฉrie Nicolas, 243 appearances for the French handball team, 2003 World Champion
Vincent Clerc, 67 appearances for the French rugby team, 2011 World Cup finalist
Edwige Lawson Wade, 200 appearances for the French basketball team, 2012 Olympic vice-champion
Gregory Coupet, 34 appearances for the French football team, 2006 World Cup finalist
This year, the main events of the Arbitration Days were concentrated between October 23rd and November 3rd, but throughout the year, the partners of the JNA support referees on all fronts, whether in recruitment, supporting university training, publishing studies, or enhancing the role of referees.
La Poste will also give away more than 3,000 jerseys to young referees in 2013 to encourage them after their first year of practice. Ceremonies are organized throughout the country. Since the beginning of its partnership, La Poste has thus offered more than 50,000 referee jerseys.
