On September 25, starting at 2:30 PM, the fourth conference will be held at the Mediterranean University Center as part of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Repatriation of French from Algeria, organized by the concerned associations and the City of Nice.
This conference will focus on the theme of the Harkis and will take place on the occasion of the National Day of Commemoration for the Harkis.
After the screening of an archive film from the National Audiovisual Institute, Nasser Sahour, President of the Association Harkis Honneur Histoire, will open the conference during which the following speakers will present:
Professor Jean-François Mattei, on the affront made to the Harkis, Jean-Jacques Jordi, historian and writer, on the formation of the Harki community, Master Jean-Michel Nogueroles, on the place of the Harkis in history.
Following Nasser Sahour’s conclusion, there will be a presentation of a photo exhibition by Elisa Cornu, entitled: Harkis, at the camp of the invisible, which will be displayed on the first floor of the CUM.
