At the initiative of La Poste, nearly 10,000 young referees in France will symbolically receive an official jersey for the 2012/2013 season by the end of December, to reward them at the end of their first year of practice.
Yves Kerboriou, Departmental Delegate of the La Poste Group and Director of the Côte d’Azur Mail, will present the official referee jerseys, displaying the La Poste logo since 2008, to the young referees in the department.
This symbolic operation is part of the La Poste Group’s partnership with refereeing, aiming to support and retain novice referees by providing them with deserved recognition.
The young referees rewarded are those who have confirmed their commitment after one year of practice in football, rugby, handball, and basketball. They receive the jerseys featuring the La Poste logo, which also equips elite referees officiating notably in Ligue 1 (football), Top 14 (rugby), D1 (handball), and Pro A (basketball).
