This is a week that will be remembered in Nice volleyball history for this season: two away victories against higher-ranked teams with a lineup diminished by the injuries of Risic, Bruckert, and Falafaa.

nvb-30.jpg After Rennes (last Tuesday), it was Alès who, this Saturday, found themselves on the path of Nice. Mladen Kasic, turned magician, had to draw on all available resources, notably calling upon young players Bourdon, Barthélémy, and Suc to make up for the numerous absences.

On a positive note, the young players stepped up and showed they can be relied upon for future challenges.

Two sets to zero for the locals, in a start that was not in favor of the team from the Riviera, and then there was the revolt of the Nice team and a grand finale against an exhausted and disoriented opponent: 15-11 in the tie-break (just like in Rennes).

A superb match by Bersani, converted into a point scorer and credited with 30 points, exemplary captain Mitrovic with his 20 points while Boudon and Barthélémy contributed 10 points each.

With these two victories, Nice strengthens their 6th place in the standings with 22 points and shows that their ambitions are based on tangible results.

Nice-Ales: 3-2 (17-25, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-11)
