The young activists of the political party Union of Democrats and Independents of Alpes-Maritimes organized a New Year’s wishes ceremony and, on this occasion, received delegations of young UDI members from other departments of the Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, notably from Bouches du Rhône and Var.
“It was important for all the young activists to come together around a king’s cake in a warm atmosphere and in the presence of UDI elected officials after the campaign of the last regional elections where the young members of our party from across the region were particularly active on the ground to support the candidacy of Christian Estrosi,” emphasized Gérald Simatos, President of the Young UDI of Alpes-Maritimes.
In addition to presenting the wishes for the new year 2016, the President of the Young UDI of 06 aimed to provide a political review of the year 2015, which was a year of political success for the centrists with victories in the departmental and regional elections where the UDI gained numerous seats.
He spoke about the “open” primaries of the right and the center: at the next UDI national Congress in March, the party’s platform will be discussed.
This New Year’s ceremony concluded with a meeting where all the young UDI members of the region could exchange ideas and debate future topics to be addressed at upcoming UDI Youth Conventions in the PACA Region.
