True to the habits, traditions, and friendship of the property owners, Patrick Mottard gathered his friends and supporters for his traditional Epiphany cake event at a restaurant in the hills of Nice.
The councilor (elected since 1998) chose to express 14 wishes, like a dozen representing this new year.
We will only mention some of them, those most in line with the municipal election campaign in which Patrick Mottard is not directly involved. Despite the fact that his political movement, Gauche Autrement, will face other candidates in perfect union with the Socialists and the Greens, with number 2 on this list being the former general councilor, Dominique Boy-Mottard.
The 13th wish (Who said superstitious?) was about “a beautiful educational and positive campaign where the future of the City and Metropolis will be discussed in complete serenity. A campaign that is not ‘against’ but ‘for’. In short, a campaign useful to the men and women who live in Nice, regardless of their origins, stories, or conditions.” A wish we all make!
As for the 14th and last…It is, in fact, three recommended criteria for choosing: A list that proposes changes and a break, because democracy, even local, must not become stagnant, a unifying list, because when the political family is in difficulty, it is vital to unite, and finally, and most importantly, a list with a number 2 who is competent and enthusiastic, with values and convictions… especially if her name is Dominique Boy-Mottard!
As Patrick Mottard recalled, quoting Romain Gary “you should not be afraid of happiness, it’s just a nice moment to pass.”
And it was time to raise the toast of friendship before intense weeks ahead.
