Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, President of the Community Local Mission “Objective Youth Nice Cรดte d’Azur,” presented her best wishes to the team while emphasizing the importance of the professional and social integration of young people in the department.
For the President, the integration and support of young people into professional life is a priority. This year, 10,000 young people were welcomed by the association, 1,848 entered training, and 2,256 gained employment.
The association brings together young people from all walks of life who struggle to integrate into professional life. As Mrs. Estrosi-Sassone points out, in an economic crisis, it is the young people who are most affected. In France, the youth unemployment rate is three times higher than that of Germany, demonstrating that there is still progress to be made.
For the President, the objective is simple for 2016: “We must go beyond political lines, because employment for youth is an important fight for our country. We need to stop presenting apprenticeships as a dead-end track and encourage businesses to welcome young people. Continue alternating through apprenticeship, continue voluntary civic service, and especially focus on training young people in difficulty.”
