Extravaganza, a digital communication agency, proposed a “Cocktail Workshop” on web optimization on Thursday, January 29. For this first meeting, its founder, Julien de Mรฉnonville, held the workshop at the European Center for Business and Innovation in Nice, open to those wishing to enrich their knowledge in digital communication.
It is in a spirit of exchange and sharing that the Extravaganza agency organized this event. It offers solutions adapted to current issues, as nowadays, communication channels are multiplying, and the behavior of internet users is evolving. The idea is to organize “Extras,” a monthly event focused on exchange and sharing on the theme of digital communication. For this first meeting, the topic was web optimization.
“Digital communication is an interaction between an internet user searching for a solution and the answers available to them online. But it is also an excellent way to connect and meet people. We’ve realized that many people think that digital means social isolation and do not necessarily understand what digital communication is. However, most of the people who will come tonight are people I met online,” explained Julien de Mรฉnonville, founder of Extravaganza.
For him, these workshops allow the public to understand certain fundamentals and to be able to turn to the right providers for implementing a communication project. “It’s important to understand what the people we work with do, otherwise we don’t know where we’re putting our money when subcontracting a service. We’re always concerned about how things are going,” he added.
Web Optimization
“Web optimization is the set of improvements that can be made to a web communication system to improve both the user experience and the site’s positioning or ranking, knowing that these two aspects work together, it’s a synergy,” explained Julien de Mรฉnonville.
“A website that is not technically optimized will cause your business to lose potential visitors or customers, for example, if the site’s loading time is too long. Content optimization is just as important. It’s important to be aware that there is a difference between what we know about our business and how internet users interpret it,” he continued.
To optimize the site’s content, you must start by conducting a keyword study. A free tool is available from Google, the Keyword Planner. It allows you to identify the queries of internet users that correspond to the site’s activity. Google Trends is another free tool that helps to know the trends in terms of keywords that users type into search engines. These words should then be integrated into the editorial content so that the search engine proposes the website.
