The association Sida Info Service (SIS), with its 20 years of existence dedicated to the fight against HIV/AIDS, has chosen to organize its National Seminar in Nice this year. It will take place on September 22 and 23, 2011, at the Théâtre de la Cité, in close collaboration with the Miranda Company and the association Les Ouvreurs.
The HIV infection in our region, and more specifically in our department, is on the rise again. The risk of encountering the virus remains very high.
Awareness, information, and prevention must therefore be sustained and constantly adapted according to the targeted audiences. Is it possible to be both professional and activist? This question will be the guiding thread.
Thus, during the two days, interventions from specialists (including institutional, medical, and sociological experts) will provide answers, while communication actions, scheduled for September 22, will serve to illustrate the theme and raise public awareness in an original way:
– Giant human red ribbon at Place Masséna at 2:15 PM,
– Balloon release on the Castle Hill at 3:50 PM,
– Giant vegetable red ribbon with red carnations on Castel Beach at 5 PM.
