For four years, as part of the Printemps des Poètes, the City of Nice has been offering a Poetry Forum that allows both children and adults to express their talents as poets. This year, the theme of the Forum is “At the Heart of the Arts.”
This year, the theme of the Forum is “At the Heart of the Arts.” The goal is to highlight the constant and fertile dialogue between poets and their “substantial allies,” which are found in visual arts, photography, musical composition, short films, video, and even circus.
The poems will be submitted to a jury chaired by Olympia Alberti, a novelist, poet, and literary critic. Olympia Alberti also holds a doctorate in comparative literature and is a specialist in Colette, Giono, and Marguerite Duras.
Seven winners will be chosen and will have the honor of hearing their works read in public at the Louis Nucéra Library (auditorium), on Saturday, March 8.
From February 4 to 22, all interested individuals can submit a poem of their own composition in a ballot box at the Louis Nucéra Library or send it via email or postal mail. Only one poem per person will be accepted. The maximum length for each poem should not exceed one and a half A4 pages.
