The Director General of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, Mr. Robert Calcagno, and the Director of the Museum of Confluences in Lyon, Mrs. Hélène Lafont-Couturier, have signed a partnership agreement for a duration of 5 years.


This agreement aims to strengthen the ties and work between the two Museums by creating scientific and cultural events.

Thanks to this signed agreement, joint exhibitions will take place in both institutions, there will be loans of objects between the two Museums, exchanges and sharing of experiences, as well as joint research programs in terms of museography and public policy.

A partnership that will take effect from March 24, 2016, a date that will mark the beginning of the exhibition “Taba Naba, Australia, Oceania, arts of the peoples of the sea,” a unique event in collaboration with the Museum of Confluences in Lyon.

For the Director General of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, Robert Calcagno, this exhibition is important and will allow “to reconnect man with humanity and biodiversity.”
