Saturday, October 1st and Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 Old Nice
Saint-Etienne Church, Notre Dame Basilica, and Sainte-Réparate Cathedral
This weekend, the City of Nice is celebrating Sainte Fleur, the patron saint of florists and horticulturists, who also dedicated her life to prayer.
This grand celebration promises to be fragrant and colorful, with more than 10,000 flower stems to be used.
Organized in partnership with the Association of the Sainte Fleur Festival, which mobilizes 60 volunteers, it allows us to highlight the flower trades and the local floral tradition, which is an integral part of our heritage.
You can also attend organ concerts at the Sainte Réparate Cathedral and the Notre Dame Basilica.
Flower-filled masses and “flower-women” parades will also take place, and in the streets of Old Nice, every passerby will be given a flower.
