In anticipation of the upcoming municipal elections in March 2014, the Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union for Business of the Alpes-Maritimes have launched the Eco Pact 2014.
For Bernard Kleynhoff, President of CCI Nice Côte d’Azur: “The goal is to place the needs and expectations of businesses at the heart of discussions. This Eco Pact 2014 will allow for more detailed formalization with a very pragmatic approach.”
Five major themes have been defined: Local tax break, Employment development, Transport and travel, Business development welcome, Housing for working people.
The CCI Nice Côte d’Azur and UPE 06 have invited municipal candidates to commit by signing the Eco Pact and responding to 27 proposals on the following 5 commitments:
Facilitate the life and environment of businesses and shops in my community
Develop a policy in favor of business areas
Improve the travel and transport times of the people of the Côte d’Azur
Increase and diversify the housing offer for working people
Strengthen inter-municipal and inter-community consultation and cooperation and support actions for the treatment of business waste
A survey was conducted as early as November 2013 among 600 companies representative of the economic fabric in terms of their sector of activity to identify their priorities in economic development.
