This year, the city of Nice moved from 10th to 8th place in the ranking of cities “where it’s good to study,” conducted by the group L’Étudiant last September. By 2014, Nice will offer students nearly 3,473 social housing units. This is an unprecedented effort since the city currently has 2,657 housing units.
While we can only be pleased to know that the 35,000 young people (approximately 10% of the population of Nice) study and live well in our city, it should be noted that their demand for housing is very strong! The city of Nice has recognized this demand and is doing everything possible to develop a diverse and suitable offer.

The number of social housing units for students is currently 2,657 in Nice.
However, 203 student housing units, owned by CROUS or social landlords, are under construction in the municipality.
Projects under construction
170 student social housing units at Saint Jean d’Angély. The land was ceded by the city of Nice to Erilia for development > Scheduled for delivery in September 2012.
24 student social housing units located at 24 rue Reine Jeanne. Municipal building sold to the landlord Logirem/Samopor for development > Scheduled for delivery in 2013.
9 student social housing units located at the corner of Gassin/Lesueur. Realization in VEFA by Erilia. Scheduled for delivery in 2013.
The four projects under study for a total of 613 units:
121 units in Nice Méridia by Habitat 06.
92 units – 20 avenue Georges Clémenceau (former Hôtel Scribe) by Erilia.
200 units at Saint Jean d’Angély as part of the “Campus Prometteur” operation.
200 units in Valrose.
