Commissioning of a new outdoor play and motor skills area
The Henri Germain Institute opened its doors in September 1990, driven by the Lenval Foundation.
It accommodates 36 children and adolescents with multiple disabilities (aged 8 to 20) in residential care and 12 in day or part-time care. It serves children and adolescents with severe multiple-expression disabilities, combining motor and/or severe or profound mental disabilities.
Four associations have mobilized to participate in the funding of an outdoor play and motor skills area project, with a total cost of €80,000.
Pierre Costa, President of the Lenval Foundation, Bernard Lecat, General Director, and Florence Maia, Director of the Henri Germain Institute for children and adolescents with multiple disabilities, will welcome the associations that contributed to the funding of the new outdoor play and motor skills area, as well as families, during an open house on Friday, October 14 at 5:00 PM.
This meeting with parents and associations will provide an opportunity to present the method of care for the children by the entire team, which is resolutely committed to considering the child as an individual, relying on the mobilizable abilities of each of them, and offering various means of rehabilitation and exposure to new experiences.
