The CCI Nice Côte d’Azur, the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, the Chamber of Agriculture, and the Academic Inspectorate are launching the 12th edition of Apprenticeship Month.
During this period, all these institutions aim to promote alternating training methods and, in particular, apprenticeship through awareness, information, and efforts to bridge the professional and educational worlds.
The keys to its success: alignment with market needs and a professional path valued within the educational system itself.
While Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are often seen as examples in Europe, in France, despite proactive policies targeting such programs for many years, it still struggles to attract interest.
A schedule of activities is planned for the coming days:
The Apprenticeship and Work-Study Fair, on March 18 and 19. With over 2,800 visitors and 50 exhibitors in 2015, the Apprenticeship and Work-Study Fair for this 2nd edition offers the opportunity to meet, over 2 days, Apprentice Training Centers and educational institutions offering training under apprenticeship and professionalization contracts.
Open days at training centers and information sessions on apprenticeship within high schools: In partnership with high school principals, moments of exchange and in 2015, 400 young people were able to find answers to their questions.
The 2016 Apprenticeship Guide, distributed in educational institutions, to partners of the Regional Public Service for Guidance, as well as at Point A of the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur and the CAD of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region.
The Apprenticeship Exchange, shared between the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur and the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of the Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, provides a comprehensive offer for apprentices and employers in craft and industry sectors. With 600 resumes of future alternates and 500 company offers in 2015, the Apprenticeship Exchange is an entirely dedicated site for apprenticeship (https://www.apprentissage06.fr/) facilitating connections between young individuals and companies.
The Craft Circuit, on March 22, 23, and 24: aimed at promoting the craft trades sector to middle school students who are at an age to make educational orientation choices. The action will allow those who request it to meet artisans from the Nice-Nord area.
