On the agenda: round-table, testimonials, and the presentation of the 2011 practical guide.
Presented by Laurent Londeix, Vice-President of the Higher Education Innovation Research Commission of UPE 06, Regional Director Provence Côte d’Azur of Orange, the concept of this unprecedented event at UPE06 revolves around plenary sessions in the morning and thematic workshops organized during lunch.
A lunch for meeting and exchanging ideas, with a theme for each table, under the angle of “supporting and supported business,” with the possibility to change tables and themes!
“The idea of creating a day of Research and SME meetings stems from a double observation: innovation is one of the key drivers of growth for SMEs, but they are not always aware of the richness of the local ecosystem in terms of Research and Innovation (R&I). Therefore, a bridge needed to be created between the two worlds,” explains Laurent Londeix.
THE OBJECTIVE:
Create a bridge between the world of Research and SMEs and bring together the world of research and that of innovation with various territorial actors, convince SMEs of the interest in R&I in terms of competitiveness, and lead in the short and medium term to exchanges and concrete actions. These are the main objectives targeted by the various participants, including Jacques Lesieur – President of the Higher Education Innovation Research Commission of UPE 06, Bernard Kleynhoff, President of the CCIT Nice Côte d’Azur, Jean-Pierre Laheurte, President of ValorPaca/SATT, Gérard Giraudon, Director of the INRIA Sophia Antipolis-Méditerranée Center, Roger Martin, Vice President of Nice Côte d’Azur, and Delphine Garcia, Business Manager at OSEO.
THE THEMES
Centered around themes such as “Why is it important for an SME to innovate?” “How to work with research laboratories?” or “The major players who can help an SME find its way,” business leaders will be able to get informed, hear testimonials, and meet the actors of Azurean innovation and research to better understand the importance of integrating dynamic forces, whether it be in terms of expertise support, creativity, human or financial resources. A PRACTICAL GUIDE
To enable companies to continue their progress towards Research and Innovation, the Higher Education Innovation and Research working group of UPE 06 has created a practical guide.
Thematic tabs and directory sheets guide according to the questions posed. Listed are support and funding organizations such as the CCI, OSEO, Competitiveness Clusters, PRIDES, research and valorization institutes, but also consulting firms and other actors of innovation who can help companies in their innovative projects.
