The 8th University Relay will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2015, starting at 12 PM on the Promenade des Anglais and this year it is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis.
Organized by student associations and staff of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis (UNS), the University Relay is a supportive, sporting, and friendly event that brings together the entire university community: students and staff (teachers, teacher-researchers, administrative and technical staff), academics, or similar, over half a day.
A unique event in France: this event is representative of the strength, vitality, and unity of the University.
More than 2500 participants are expected on the southern sidewalk of the Promenade des Anglais to walk or run the 3.5 km separating the Théâtre de Verdure from the Carras beach.
An inter-campus challenge allows each campus to compete and defend their team’s colors. The race takes place on a Thursday afternoon, a half-day during which students can dedicate themselves to sports practice and open courses.
