THE THREE LITTLE PIGS STILL RUNNING

“Fed up with the big bad wolf!” The three little pigs leave their
traditional tale to come into our world.

They step out of their big book and each head off in different directions: one to a

mountain retreat, another to the Paris suburbs, and the last crosses

the Atlantic and arrives in New Pork…
But it’s not just the big bad wolf that’s frightening…

  • Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Duration: 1 hour / From age 4
Tickets: 8โ‚ฌ and 5โ‚ฌ

About the Show

Through its story without words, with its black and white images and piano accompaniment, this story is reminiscent of the silent films of the past and their slapstick comedies.

However, its content is quite contemporary: the mention of terrorism or environmental degradation encourages adults to critically reflect on our times.
The wolves symbolize our fears. Whether real or imagined, these fears make the pigs scatter, turning their frantic escape into a comedy. In the end, children will only see it as a cheerful parody.

The Troupe

Sophie Geffroy and Marc Rossi founded “Les Montreurs dโ€™Ombres,” a family shadow theater troupe, in 2005 after several years of experience with the “Thรฉรขtre des Ombres” company.

Their shows appeal to both young and old, as shadows captivate children and adults alike.

They will also host an introductory workshop (on the same day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.)* to introduce participants to the practice of shadow theater.

The Three Little Pigs Still Running was their first creation and has been performed in France, Switzerland, Jordan, and Taiwan.

*Workshop open to 8-12-year-olds, registration is now open at the reception, fee: 10 euros.
