On Friday, April 4, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the 2014 Student Competition of the Cercle de la Capelina dโOr will take place. This competition, open to first-year students from the Lycรฉe Hรดtelier Paul Augier, will allow these future chefs to become familiar with the traditional recipes of Niรงoise Cuisine.
The first major event of the year 2014, the Student Competition of the Cercle de la Capelina dโOr, will therefore put eight first-year students of the Lycรฉe Hรดtelier Paul Augier in competition, under the supervision of their coordinating teacher, Eric Capuzzo.
These eight candidates will first have to answer a few questions during an oral test on Nissard Culture. Then, they will move on to the kitchen where they must prepare a set recipe, and this year it will be Swiss chard pie on the menu, as well as another set recipe using a mystery basket given to them.
A jury composed of cooking professors, chefs, and restaurant professionals will then make their choice to designate the grand winner of the 2014 edition and the two best contenders.
Ladies and gentlemen, to the stoves!
