The association Nissart Per Tougiou, in partnership with the City of Nice, is reviving the Niçoise tradition of electing the Queen of May, adapted for a contemporary audience.
This Tuesday, April 28 at 2 PM at the Maioun du Trident, Jean-François Marro, president of the association, and Jean-Luc Gag, representative of the municipality, will present the program for the elections of the Queen of May 2015.
Through three district Queen elections and a final Queen of May of Nice election, the aim is to elect the representative of Niçoise culture for the year 2015/2016.
These elections will take place during various Fêtes des Mai and will offer the public a true spectacle combining singing, dance, theater, poetry, games, and cuisine, to showcase a young and dynamic, sincere and passionate aspect of Niçoise culture.
