Jazz… Improvised music centered around a melody derived from popular songs, around which musicians create, in the urgency of the moment, their own variations.
After playing “American Standards” for almost 40 years, Eric Sempé, Alain Ruard, and Nicolas Luchi explore “Their Popular Songs.”
The repertoire of French and international songs from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and even earlier, is full of “Standards” that are much more evocative for our French audience.
Thus, the audience can discover and follow more easily the improvised frescoes by these three virtuosos. Alternating French, English, and American standards, jazz fusion, as well as their own compositions, the trio offers you a kind of quiz that will revive your not-so-distant memories.
