To meet an ever-growing demand and better serve its Partner Associations, the Food Bank of the Alpes-Maritimes is seeking new volunteers.
As an ever-increasing number of our fellow citizens are in difficulty and are turning to food aid, the European Union is “cutting off funds” by drastically reducing its food aid to charitable associations.
To maintain its level of service to its Partner Associations and CCAS, the Food Bank of the Alpes-Maritimes must increase its capacity to collect food locally.
To this end, it urgently seeks:
- Drivers and Assistants for daily collection rounds in the department’s supermarkets.
- Personnel for Sorting and Preparing Orders for our Partner Associations.
The Food Bank is open from Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm. Each volunteer can freely choose to give one or more half-days of their time per week.
These positions are based at the Food Bank’s warehouse at Nice Lingostière (2 Chemin des Ecoles).
