The redevelopment work on Rue d’Italie began in November 2015 and will be completed in June 2016: a new square will replace the parking lot and that is just fine.
This development work is a continuation of the beautification efforts undertaken within the Nice Centre program perimeter (National Program for the Renovation of Old and Degraded Neighborhoods – PNRQAD).
The transformation of the Notre-Dame parking lot will create a living space of 1,606 square meters, near many schools and the play area, intended for neighborhood families.
The delivery is scheduled for September.
At the same time, the requalification of Rue d’Italie continues: the development principles are based on those implemented on Rue de Suisse and are consistent with the rehabilitated public spaces.
The south sidewalk will be widened, a landscape addition will beautify the north sidewalk, and the public lighting will match that of Avenue Jean Médecin, with cast iron style lampposts.
In this case, delivery is scheduled for June 2016.
