Upon his election in 2008, Christian Estrosi initiated a reflection on the reception and support of populations in situations of severe poverty and on the modernization of reception structures.

Thus, many projects have been carried out while constantly evaluating services, in accordance with laws renovating social and medico-social action, emphasizing users’ rights and wellbeing.

Beyond its daily actions, the new roadmap notably includes the creation of a single medico-social counter and new solidarity structures, the construction of a futuristic EPHAD, and the management of Alzheimer’s disease.

The new Board of Directors of the Nice CCAS is composed as follows:

President: Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice, President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis

Vice President: Joëlle Martinaux, Deputy in charge of Solidarity, Social Affairs, and Disabilities.

Members from the Municipal Council: Dominique Estrosi-Sassone, Maty Diouf, Pascale Ferralis, Hélène Saliceti, Jacques Dejeandile, Christine Dorejo, Lucette Feron.

Members of representative associations: Françoise Guigonis (Alzheimer France 06 – Representing Retired and Elderly Persons’ Associations in the Department); Georges Astesano (ADAPEI, Representing the Disabled Persons’ Associations in the Department), Marie-Louise Fenart (ISN – Representing associations working in the field of Integration and Combating Exclusion), Nathalie Daras-Planelles (Departmental Union of Family Associations Representative).

Members as “qualified individuals”: Monique de Bottini (Representing the Work of Mercy), Josette Quaglia (participating in prevention, animation, and social development actions within the commune), Sauveur Assous (participating in prevention, animation, and social development actions within the commune), Father Gil Florini (participating in prevention, animation, and social development actions within the commune).

During the installation of this new Board of Directors, Christian Estrosi wanted to thank the work and daily commitment of the 776 agents of the Nice CCAS with often vulnerable publics.
