With the end of the school year fast approaching, the time had come to present the awards for the “Little Artists of Memory: The Great War through the Eyes of Children” and “Mediatiks” contests.
Fifth-grade students, parents, teachers, and officials gathered at the Canopรฉ workshop at the academy rectorate site in Nice to attend the award ceremony for the “Little Artists of Memory: The Great War through the Eyes of Children” contest.
After the customary speeches and a presentation of the various projects created by the students, it was finally time to announce the winners of this edition.
This year, the grand winner of the challenge is the Vagliano School in Cannes. The children and their teacher, Mrs. Stรฉphanie Perla, will represent the Alpes-Maritimes department at the national round next September. If they win, they will have the honor of being invited by the President of the Republic to the November 11th ceremonies in Paris.

Later in the day, Claire Lovisi, the rector of the Nice academy, presented the awards for the “Mediatiks” school and high school newspaper contest. This year, no fewer than 600 students from five schools, ten middle schools, and six high schools from the Alpes-Maritimes and Var participated.
During the ceremony, four institutions were honored.
The primary schools Saint-Exupรฉry and Jean Aicard in Pourriรจres for their newspaper “The Voice of Schools.” The Sรฉgurane Middle School in Nice with “Seg Mag,” and Gallieni Vocational High School in Frรฉjus, which, for its first participation, emerged as the category winner with its newspaper “Buzz.”
