Crossover enters the Opéra de Nice with an exceptional concert by James Holden who will present his second album “The Inheritors”.
Seven years have passed since the release of James Holden’s first album, “The Idiots Are Winning,” which was acclaimed by critics. In June 2013, the head of the Border Community label returned with his second LP, “The Inheritors,” a journey between heavy toms and psychedelic builds that only he has the secret to.
An atmospheric, enchanting, hypnotic album, completely different from the previous one, offering his version of William Golding’s book. For this live performance, Holden is on the modular synth, accompanied by Tom Page on drums and Etienne Jaumet on saxophone.
While James Holden has never stopped performing DJ sets in clubs around the world, seeing him at the Opera will be one of the festival’s great moments.
