Daniel Mihalcea is an athlete with a big heart from Nice who took on the somewhat crazy challenge of connecting Berlin to Nice on roller skates for the benefit of Handicap International. He departed from Berlin on April 17th from the Brandenburg Gate, and this afternoon, he will be back in Nice.
An athlete with a big heart and a volunteer member of the Handicap International Nice Cรดte dโAzur Mobilization Relay, Daniel decided to embark on a crazy yet generous and supportive challenge: to connect Berlin to Nice on roller skates for the benefit of Handicap International via the Alvarum platform.
The journey covers a little over 2,000 kilometers with 10,000 meters of elevation gain. Daniel set off from Berlin on April 17th. He traveled through the roads of Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium before entering France through the Ardennes on April 28th.
Since then, several cities in the east of France have witnessed this unusual athlete on roller skates pass through. Throughout his journey, a chain of solidarity was set up to accommodate him during his various stages. Some people accompanied him for part of the way.
Daniel will arrive in Nice at Place Massรฉna at 3 p.m.
