The electoral campaign makes an appearance in the police officers’ “Anti-Cop Hate” demonstration.

In France, 350 law enforcement officers have been injured since the demonstrations against the Labour Law. Nice has been spared, but around 200 police officers gathered in front of the Auvare barracks at the call of the right-wing Alliance union. This initiative took place in 60 cities across France.

All of them denounce the insults and attacks they suffer during the gatherings, currently against the Labour Law. A genuine “anti-cop” hatred is all the more difficult to endure as the workload has significantly increased with Vigipirate, the arrival of migrants, major events on the French Riviera, not to mention the upcoming Euro 2016.

It was also an opportunity for the candidates in the upcoming Sunday’s legislative by-election to make an appearance and gather some support.

Christian Estrosi, wearing the tricolor sash to add solemnity to his presence, was overseeing the LR candidate Marine Brenier: Alongside the @PNationale06 and @PMdeNice to denounce the #AntiCopHate. Full support for our law enforcement forces!

His young protégé expressed the same refrain: “With @cestrosi, we will always stand by the forces of order. Support for the @PNationale06 and the @PMdeNice.”

Frontist Michel Brutti, accompanied by regional councilor Philippe Vardon and many activists, was present and was able to interact with many police officers and union representatives.

“As defenders of the physical (in personnel and resources) and moral rearmament of our law enforcement, it was natural for representatives of the National Front to stand by their side,” said Philippe Vardon, who did not miss the opportunity to take a jab at the Mayor of Nice:

“A presence far more natural and legitimate than that of Christian Estrosi, largely staged by his communication team. Indeed, Christian Estrosi is the former minister of a government that eliminated 12,500 police and gendarme positions and implemented a policy of judicial leniency, with the Dati laws, foreshadowing the Taubira laws. It would have been more logical for him to come and offer apologies!”
