As a pioneer club in developing 3×3 basketball in its region, Cavigal Nice Basket 06 organized for the second consecutive year an Open 3×3 Brun, a qualifier for the Open de France 3×3.
This event will take place on August 2 in Nîmes and will bring together the winners of the twelve Open Bruns to qualify a team for the FIBA World Tour in Lausanne in August 2014.
For the second consecutive time, the Nice 3×3 Open was won by the team of Anthony Christophe, point guard of AS Monaco, NM1 French Champion, and promoted to Pro B. His team, composed of Thomas Laurent, Jason Jones, and Olivier Bardet, dominated all teams and won the final against the CCAB 2014 team with an overwhelming score of 21 to 6.
This second edition of the Nice 3×3 Challenge gathered a selection of teams at a national level, including CCAB 2014, composed of players competing in NM2 at Cannet Côte d’Azur Basket.
In the women’s category, it was the STBB13 team composed of Justine Barthelemy, Manon Cuomo, and Laurie Bataille, competing in Ligue 2 in Aix, that secured the qualification for the Open de France.
