The match between Spain and Turkey allowed four young patients from the pediatric oncology department of the Archet 2 hospital to attend an international match for the first time. The association “Tous avec Hugo” is behind this project.
Everyone was on time at the Magnan fire station where the firefighters were waiting for the children for an imminent departure in a VTC, heading to the Stade de Nice. “It’s thanks to the Sports Department of the City of Nice, which allowed us to invite the children, and the firefighters of the Magnan fire station who accompanied them. The other expenses were covered by the association,” explained Virginie, mother of little Hugo and president of the association.
And while their eyes were sparkling at the start, they were ecstatic upon arriving at the stadium, adorned in red, yellow, and green, in a festive and cheerful procession, happily posing with the delighted children.
For some, it was their first time visiting the Stade de Nice, and what a first time it was! The stadium now welcomed them with open arms and, with the setup complete, it was time to enjoy a snack comfortably seated in the stands.
