For 10 years, the Health Project Calls have supported the development of excellence within the medical community and scientific research in the Azur region by acquiring state-of-the-art equipment that paves the way for innovative therapies and enables research to progress. Thanks to these project calls, the Alpes-Maritimes is a territory of innovation and medical attractiveness.
During these 10 years, 170 innovative projects have been supported for the benefit of 25 medical institutions and research teams, thanks to an investment of nearly €27 million in departmental funds, which have helped improve health, screening, prevention, diagnosis, or disease management.
This investment, unparalleled in France for a departmental community, has paved the way for decisive advances in major health challenges such as the fight against cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, disability, rare diseases, childhood diseases, etc.
The Department thus continues its efforts in serving the health of our citizens by launching last December the 8th Health Project Call. Endowed with 1.5 million euros, it was conducted by a committee of experts tasked with determining the list of selected applications, chaired by Professor Bruno Dubois.
This anniversary will be celebrated this evening at the Palais de la Méditerranée, bringing together eminent figures from the medical community who will share their testimonies and the current state of Research.
