The electoral battle for the presidency of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry has just begun. The UPE has nominated its candidate to succeed Bernard Kleynhoff at the consular chamber, a place of influence and power.
Jean-Pierre Savarino, the current right-hand man of the outgoing president, has ultimately prevailed over two other candidates, Laurent Lachkar, who has already been president of UPE06 from 2007 to 2009, and Bernard Chaix.
Tradition dictates that the candidate of the employers’ organization steps onto the podium. Therefore, even if other candidates may declare themselves, we should already know the name of the future president.
Let’s remember that the voting period will start on October 20, 2016, and end no later than November 2, 2016.
