Teaching children to respect the sea will be the main goal of this new school of the sea, which, located in Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat, enjoys an exceptional location.
By giving his name to the departmental school of the sea, Jean-Pierre Dick*, present at the ceremony, who was named “sailor of the year” in 2011, becomes an example for all the children who will attend.
A true educational tool, it will raise awareness among children aged 6 to 12 about environmental respect and allow them to discover the marine environment, a remarkable natural heritage that it is everyone’s duty to preserve.
The mission of the School and its animation team is to offer activities related to nautical practice: sailing, diving, introduction to freediving… which will gradually transform the children into real little eco-citizen sailors so they can, in turn, share their passion and love for the sea.
