For the 20th edition of the Summer Evenings, from June 27 to September 23, the Alpes-Maritimes Department presents 119 ensembles across 413 free performances, in 155 towns on the French Riviera.

“TARTEMPION” BY THE COMPANY LES ENFANTS DU PARADIS

Saturday, July 25 at 9 PM – Parvis of Château Rainier III in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
“Tartempion” is a modern and vintage comedy by Valérie d’Amodio. In this modern couple, which is rather eccentric, Sylvie, who is very trendy, and Seb, a bit of a “geek,” decide to find Tartempion, an old school friend. A singular adventure begins where we encounter colorful and lively characters like the former schoolmaster, a private detective, and a security guard. Will they find each other?

HOT CLUB DE CORSE

Sunday, July 26 at 9 PM – Chapiteau Place de la Mairie in Tende
The Hot Club de Corse is led by the guitarist Jean-Jacques Gristi, who perfectly masters the gypsy style, and whose Corsican and gypsy pieces are equally passionate. He plays in harmony with the violin of François Arnaud, both accompanied by the excellent rhythm section composed of Jean-Marc Jafet on double bass, and Paul Aiuti and Frédérique André on guitar.

GROOVE STORY BY RICHARD MANETTI QUARTET

Monday, July 27 at 9 PM – Place du Lavoir in Entraunes
Richard Manetti, Jazz Talent by Sacem, offers a flamboyant setlist whose repertoire oscillates between jazz, swing, Latin, and fusion. This journey into the heart of rhythm that ventures into a borderless space is the result of a collective process of composition and improvisation by the Richard Manetti Quartet.

NICE PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA

Tuesday, July 28 at 9 PM – Théâtre de Verdure of La Citadelle Villefranche-sur-Mer
The Nice Philharmonic Orchestra is recognized as a leading musical formation. Since 2010, its musical direction has been entrusted to Philippe Auguin, who was notably the assistant to the great Herbert Von Karajan.

STÉPHANE DELAURME

Wednesday, July 29 at 9 PM – Place des Platanes in Sospel
Four musicians, longtime faithful partners, accompany Stéphane Delaurme to sing Charles Aznavour. The singer, endowed with a stage presence worthy of the great music hall stars, brings to life with passion and emotion the greatest songs of the French crooner. The show for all audiences is an enchantment with its original staging enhanced by some delicious anecdotes about Monsieur Charles.

“MAGIC UNDER THE STARS” BY THE WORLD’S GREATEST MAGICIANS

Thursday, July 30 at 9 PM – Château in Tourrette-Levens
A stunning magical show, a journey to the land of impossibilities thanks to exceptional magicians: the best in their discipline who have performed in the greatest television shows. Norbert Ferré, an exceptionally gifted artist of his generation, twice named World Champion of Magic, will be the master of ceremonies. In another register, Tim Silver, a modern and talented artist, awarded in the most prestigious European magic festivals, will offer a succession of unprecedented grand illusions. They will be accompanied by Alexia (female magic), Mac Ronay (magic and humor), Nans Marco (young ventriloquist). Conception, staging: Mac Ronay, Corinne Edon.

EMILY JOHNSON’S BAND

Friday, July 31 at 6 PM – Central Square (Valberg) in Péone
It was John McLaughlin himself who decided to produce Emily Johnson in 2014 and proposed to record in San Francisco where she finished her last four tracks. Her first album in 2013 “Give me a Little Time,” is a subtle mix of soul, new soul, and R&B, reflecting her musical influences: Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, The Brand New Heavies, Incognito… At each of her performances, the audience is charmed, completely captivated by her soul voice and contagious energy.
