France will present a record number of 396 athletes, 228 men and 168 women, at the Rio Olympic Games, announced the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF).

This delegation will be the largest in history since the Barcelona Games, where 352 athletes were engaged, and will far exceed that of London 2012 (332).

The Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur delegation is currently composed of 49 athletes who will compete in 18 disciplines.
