Five municipal agents from the city of Nice will soon participate under the colors of the Essor Riviera Karate club, led by Michel CLERMONT, at the European Masters Games Nice2015.
All former feet-and-fists athletes, they will head to the podiums against opponents from all corners of the globe.
Training for several months under the guidance of head coach Gregory CLERMONT in the discipline of KUMITE “karate fighting,” they have been able to train and share experiences throughout their preparation with seasoned individuals in the discipline, such as Jean-Francois GOMIS, Alain FERRY, Francois MANIERI, Stephane GULLO, and Michel MAIFFRET, the head of the AnimaNice Notre Dame Center, who opened the center’s doors to the athletes so they could train for the EMG.
The karatekas: Josรฉ GOMEZ, Antoine BOLANOS, Pascal AUPAIX, Christophe DJERRAH, and Michel GRECO will be ready on the big day to offer a beautiful spectacle and represent their club and the City of Nice as they should.
